How to
Participate

Are you looking for information on how your school can participate in our school program?

There are three ways to participate, with our Dedicated Art Library, Teacher Workshops and Art Start NW Subscriptions.

What is the Dedicated Art Library?

We donate sketchbooks and quality art supplies to our Partnership Schools, ensuring all teachers in the building will have access to ‘check out’ these supplies to their classroom. We also send one easy-to-follow art lesson a month which includes art vocabulary, a learning objective and a state-level art standard.

Would you like to start a Dedicated Art Library at your school? Please reach out to School Programs Director, Missy Hancock to learn how.

Attend a teacher Workshop

Through our Teach the Teacher workshops, we equip educators—who may not be art specialists—with the tools they need to integrate art into subjects like math, science, history, and reading.

This approach brings art back into the classroom and creates more creative opportunities for students to learn.

We are working on ways that all schools can participate in our program, regardless of economic status. We strive to build equity in our community by expanding our Partnerships to include more schools who need resources, while also including the schools who have active PTA programs. If you are connected to a school or community who would like access to our art lessons and resources, who want to create a Dedicated Art Library in their school and you’re interested in supporting other schools in your area who don’t have the same resources as you, then this is the right fit for you!

This is coming soon…please email Missy Hancock, School Programs Director with questions.
